“Bas game hi khelta rehta hai!” Sound familiar? Gaming isn’t a waste—it’s a skill, a vibe, and maybe even a legit career.

Our Saviour from Stress – Gaming to the Rescue!
These days, mental health problems are increasing at an alarming rate even in India. Children often feel pressured early on due to high parental expectations and the race to succeed in school and work.
The competitive environment in education and jobs adds to their mental burden from a young age. This leads to stress early in life, which can negatively impact their mental development.
The same is true for adults, who get so busy in their life that they hardly find time for themselves. Due to hefty schedule, they often forget to enjoy the life by doing activities they like. That’s why it’s important to take some time off and do what we truly enjoy.
If you’re a tech-savvy introvert (like me), you probably enjoy playing games whenever you get the chance. Playing games requires focus, which helps divert your mind from the things that are causing stress and helps you relax. It gives your thoughts a break and allows your mind to reset.

Gaming – A Workout for Your Brain
It is a common misconception among the people in India that gaming is just for fun and there are no real benefits; if you are one of such people, let me tell you – you couldn’t be more wrong. Multiple scientific studies have proven that playing video games have multiple benefits. It increases the grey matter in our brain which improves the cognitive functions. These helps us in better decision-making, problem solving, focus and more.
Video games are designed in such a way that challenges players to think critically. Figuring out how to overcome obstacles requires the quick problem solving and decision making skills. Many games also demand good memory, whether it is remembering a specific information, strategy – giving your brain a solid workout.
By playing video games, you polish your cognitive skills and also improve your motor skills. Your hand to eye coordination and reaction time becomes better which helps you in other day to day activities you perform.

Gaming – A treasure full of life lessons
Nowadays video games are no longer limited to button mashing skills to enjoy, they actually convey deep ideas and meaningful life values through their stories. For example, a popular video game series Last of Us shows us a beautiful relationship between a father and daughter. It shows how family bonds helps us survive the toughest situations and enjoy happy moments at their fullest in the life.
Another OG video game series God of War highlights that nothing is impossible to achieve. Every challenge can be overcome if we keep moving towards our goal with firm determination.
